Application Developer, Associate

DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for an Applications Developer, Associate to work in our IT Development shop within Blue Shield of California. Our group specializes in the development for our core business applications. The Applications Developer Associate will have the opportunity to bring innovative thinking and solutions to a growing department.
Responsibilities:
Seeking entry-level developers to perform a wide variety of available assignments:
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional enterprise software system
  • Design, build, test, troubleshoot, deploy, and support enterprise level Extract, Transform, & Load (ETL) solutions
  • Execute full lifecycle software development to construct well designed, testable, efficient code within Informatica Using PL-SQL
  • Write scripts used for adhoc data processing purposes
  • Test for reliability, regression, usability, performance, stress, security
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Tailor and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics
  • Develop technical & business subject matter expertise (Facets application)
  • Develop, adjust, and comply with technical design, coding, and security standards
  • Will develop work skills with configuring (bulk) scheduling solutions using Tidal
  • Develop UI capabilities using JAVA

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of ETL and strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Exposure to one of the following programming languages: Java, C#, C++, SQL.
  • Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven collaboration skills with working within groups or projects.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IS, EECS, or related field


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
