Medical Informatics, Manager

Description  We are looking for a Manager that will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better service for our customers and contain the rising costs of healthcare.  Your primary focus will be in leading a team in the development of analytics insupport of payment integrity.    You will lead a data-focused team in the production of new and creative analytic solutions that will ensure proper payment ofclaims to our providers.  The initial focus will be on post-pay analytics, but the scope includes pre-pay and collaborating on insights that can lead to system improvements.  Bring your curiosity, creativity, and energy and help us turn our data into actionable insights.   Responsibilities:  Reduce administrative expense through development of in-house overpayment analytics Creating and fostering an analytics approval process involving multiple functional areas of expertise Develop and manage process for analytic development and implementation (business understanding, data understanding, data prep, modeling, evaluation, deployment, maintenance) Prioritization of incoming work and initiatives Creating and cultivating analytics strategy What tools to use for what purpose Self-service vs. supported service Consultation vs. new development Tools strategy - what is the footprint of our tools, and can we consolidate?  Do we need other tools?  Learning/coaching/teaching Development of new techniques to bring better insight to help the business move quickly and accurately Developing and maintaining scope of team Measure and manage performance (customer satisfaction, turnaround times, savings, etc.) Tie analytics strategy to business growth/change strategy Partnering with reporting team as necessary to foster the use of analytics in operational reporting Qualifications Demonstrated leadership experience. 5 - 10 years of experience working on an Analytics team with specific experience related to overpayment identification Ability to create actionable insights for the business. Strong ability to collaborate with internal customers in an ever-changing environment. Highly skilled with using various Query tools used to extract and build information.  (SAS, Business Objects, SQL Developer) Highly skilled in the use Tableau to visualize actionable business information. Highly skilled in the structure and use of Databases. Ability to negotiate and compromise in order to develop the right solutions for the business. Strong ability to prioritize incoming requests. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
