The Work
Work with the latest technology in a work hard / play hard environment. Our client is a rapidly growing company serving the specialty vehicle industry. They are seeking an experienced Dev Ops Engineerwho is interested in building, maintaining, and operating the infrastructure platform used to power our software hosted in Microsoft's cloud services. Develop solutions, process and systems to ensure that our production and development environment is operating and performing optimally and efficiently; that software is able to be released and deployed in an efficient and streamlined manner, from development to production.
This is a hands-on role with a balanced amount of tool and infrastructure development, including advanced scripting and automation. Provide managed services support, product development support, and support the entire stack for a cloud-based service offering.
Skills & Requirements:
3
years of experience supporting software development in a Windows environment using Visual Studio and TFS; other languages like Powershell or C# DevOps App Dev experience
Experience with agile software development processes such as Scrum
Understanding of Windows, ASP.NET and SQL core fundamentals, command-line operations and scripting; network protocols and service
Ability to build and deploy cloud services, software, and related projects from development to production
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Develop large-scale, high-performance distributed systems
Troubleshoot TCP/IP and related networking protocols, especially in lossy or high-latency environments
Develop system-level components including multi-threading, sockets, and RPC
Multi-threading and multi-core architecture
Performance tuning
BA/BS in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience
